You know that feeling. The one you get when a movie comes together just like you wanted it to….just like you needed it to…”It’s the place dreams come true”.  We’ve compiled a short list of those feel-good moments. So on with the show and here’s our top ten happiest endings in film history.

10.) APOLLO 13

…because who doesn’t love a good re-entry into the atmosphere scene with Ed Harris & Gary Sinise. And because:

9.) SCROOGED

… because it’s Bill Murray in the infamous role of Scrooge.  And because “I get it now! Then if you GIVE, then it can happen, then the miracle can happen to you!

8.) SLEEPLESS IN SEATLE

…because “It’s you“.  And cue the music from An Affair to Remember…

7.) MY COUSIN VINNY

…because “However”…

6.) AS GOOD AS IT GETS

…because “And the fact that I get it, makes me feel good — about me“…. And because it’s Jack!

5.) WALK THE LINE

…because June Carter says “Okay”

4.) FORREST GUMP

…because “I named him after his daddy“.

3.) FIELD OF DREAMS

…because “Hey dad, wanna have a catch?“.  And simply because of Kevin Costner and Dwier Brown! Brown (who play Costner’s dad in the movie) is the best-selling author of “If You Build It”.

2.) THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION

…because “I hope”. And because “Get busy living or get busy dying” is one of the best quotes in all of history (not just film history).

1.) THE WIZARD OF OZ

…because “There’s no place like home“. And no –  it’s not that we feared Ms. Dorothy Gale wouldn’t make it out of Oz  – we knew she would.

It’s just wonderful to see her friends again.

 THE ♥ END

PS: Ron Howard directed Apollo 13. People wonder if Howard sensationalized this scene but the real footage seems relatively intense! The featured image is a still from “Apollo 13 in Pictures” – NASA’s Johnson Space Center.

There’s so many more movies we would have liked to include…Thank you to MovieClips.com for providing an online source for legal film clips! There will be more film articles to come. So stay tuned and… “Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies…”
