About It’s Good To

About Us

Welcome to It’s Good To! Our mission is to love and share the good. As our motto indicates, this site was created for the sake of goodness.

Good for Good’s Sake

Our goal is to create a compelling collection of viral love for what’s good. Whether it’s non-toxic toothpaste, a compelling HBO documentary, a great song or a beautiful person. We’ll discuss all things goodness – old or new,  sad or happy, hairy or shaven and famous or yet to be…

It’s Good To is curated to avoid unconscious information + endorsements. And yet we don’t avoid discussions that need ‘care’ (think 21,000 people die everyday of hunger-related causes). We also want our readers to laugh a lot, feel consistently informed and sometimes think: “That was weird…but I like it! ”.

We hope to give you the inspiration, ideas and tools to make your life (and the lives of others) a whole lot better.  We are for everyone.

“It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much and can accomplish much and what is done in love is well done.”

– Vincent Van Gogh

PS: Our business structure is very different. Read more about who we work with, what we are hoping to achieve through the “CARE” concept of consumerism, and why we offer will sometimes offer a “Good Suggestion”…

And one more thing: We strive not to be politically correct. We aren’t the PC police. We aren’t a perfectionist-seeking cliche of good v. bad. And we couldn’t agree more with this discussion from Real Time with Bill Maher.

We love on the good for good’s sake.

MEET YOUR CREATOR

581497_3690379699093_444329953_n

Hi there! I’m Rose – your creator & chief curator of goodness. Here are some things about me:

  • I’m an avid lover of the good in this world. I see it in people, in places, in things, in concepts – and even in the sad or bad. I believe the good in us can’t be stopped. I also love quotes: “So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past”.
  • I love rock & roll, but I also love hip hop, Nat King Cole, Johnny Cash and Josephine Baker – or even a good movie score from Hans Zimmer…
  • My theme song is Clare De Lune and my favorite scents are doggie breath, burnt wood, vetiver essential oil and beeswax candles.
  • I believe light wins.
  • I’m an idea person. I have grand ideas on how to make everything better, but don’t ask me what I’m having for breakfast.
  • I love using a good ellipsis…here…and there. It’s good to pause. So pause with me…or pause with these guys. Just pause somewhere… before you FREAK out.
  • I believe a single person & act of love can entirely change the world for better.
  • I’m an activist & sometimes get really perturbed about the global state of affairs.
“We have the Bill of Rights. What we need is a Bill of Responsibilities.”– Bill Maher
  • I’m not a Do It Yourself (DIY) type of person. These “DIY Pinterest Fails” speak to me.
  • I would love to host SNL – but then again – Lorne Michaels disappointed smile scares me.
  • My shih tzu child, Ziggy, is the love of my life.
  • I’m obsessed with natural health & wellness…Most of my articles will incorporate holistic advice + perhaps a good movie quote!
  • I adore PBS and HBO. Their content is life-enriching. “It’s not TV, it’s HBO” / “Be more with PBS“.
  • I’m a little bit Irish, a little bit Cuban, a little bit English, a little bit Scottish, but my mother’s genetic testing says French. And I look like this from the right side…↓Pic Circle
  • My loving parents are Jeopardy aficionados and now I am too. If you know Trebek, you get the reasoning behind this SNL skit… I also affirmed the selection of the It’s Good To motto from a Final Jeopardy answer. Hint: What is MGM?
  • In Aerosmith’s words: “I was the last child”. I’m the youngest of five and my parents are 4th generation “Conchs”.
  • I’m a “crazy” aunty and my official name is TeeTee (pronounced “T-T”).
  • I believe in Oprah and I also believe in Oprah’s mantra : “You become what you believe”.

It’s Good To Meet You!
Love,
Rose

PS: It’s Good To Watch Jeff Bridges in this OWN Master Class clip…. He’s the coolest dude and adores his wife, Sue.
